Pinstripessaw a cloudy day in the center of a spiderweb steel and stone soaked in sootPinstripes
from the river we floated
clear minds in the wake of a drunken wave out of jersey in the late afternoon
aboard a clipper bound for the house that Ruth built we swayed with the Hudson
watched from the first base line the boys in blue, boasting perfect pinstripes they moved like water across the only green for miles
a crowded collective
bursting blues and grays and the city shrieked with life
and the sox at fenway could eat their hearts o


Disconnectionwas aDisconnection
stain behind brittle bicuspids a lie pushed through gaps between broken membranes
didn't want to be the reason for you to
lie through your teeth, but -
being a breath through the sides of your lips, it must be better than nothing
sat on
an asphalt border between the walls of a concrete box
and a steel one waited for a face that never shows
you might have scoffed at the salted division, a supple transition in the space between equinox and solstice, and twice I left little more than a scratch on your surface coul

Flourishing winter wasteland
